Romans 15:7-13

Key Truth:

The believer’s confident expectation of God’s faithfulness to his redemptive covenant transforms all of life and every relationship.

 

I. (Source) The believer’s hope is God himself.

a. Hope is anchored in, and comes from, God himself.

b. Hope is ultimately directed toward the God of redemptive history.

 

II. (Scope) The believer’s hope embraces every relationship and all of creation.

a. Hope includes the believer’s personal salvation.

b. Hope includes the salvation of Israel.

c. Hope includes the salvation of the nations.

d. Hope extends to the renewal of the cosmos.

 

III. (Savor) The believer’s hope is ultimately doxological.

a. The whole of Scripture converges in the worship and praise of God.

b. God’s Blessing evokes both prayer and praise.
